Job Purpose



The Medic is responsible for providing primary healthcare, emergency medical treatment, occupational health support, and medical emergency preparedness for all personnel onboard the FPSO. The role ensures the offshore medical facility is maintained to international standards while supporting the Company's HSSEQ objectives through health promotion, hygiene inspections, disease prevention, and emergency response readiness. The Medic is typically the sole healthcare professional onboard and operates in coordination with shore-based physicians via telemedicine when required.

Qualifications



Essential

• Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Paramedic, Clinical Officer, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
• Current professional registration with relevant medical authority.
• Offshore Medic certification (where applicable).
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Trauma Life Support qualification (e.g. ITLS, PHTLS, or equivalent).
• Offshore survival certification (e.g. BOSIET/FOET or equivalent).
• Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
• Valid Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), if required.

Preferred



• Occupational Health qualification.
• Remote Site Medic certification.
• Advanced Trauma Care qualification.
• Telemedicine experience.

Experience



Essential



• Minimum 5 years post-registration clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in emergency medicine, intensive care, trauma, ambulance, or critical care.
• Previous offshore experience on an FPSO, drilling rig, production platform, or offshore vessel preferred.
• Experience working independently in remote environments.

Working Conditions



• Offshore rotational assignment (typically 21/21 or 28/28).
• On-call 24 hours per day while offshore.
• Exposure to offshore production environments, adverse weather, confined spaces, and emergency situations.
• Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May be required to work extended hours during emergencies.
