Position: Master (Captain) – Oil Survey Vessel

The Master (Captain) has overall command of the vessel and is responsible for the safety of the crew, vessel, cargo, and the successful execution of operations.

• Master Mariner Certificate of Competency appropriate for the vessel (STCW II/2)

• Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
• Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (A-VI/1-4)
• Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3)
• Safety Familiarization – Training Onboard (A-VI/1)
• Survival Crafts & Rescue Boats – Other Than Fast Rescue Boat (A-VI/2)
• Medical First Aid (A-VI/4-1)
• Medical Care (A-VI/4-2)
• GMDSS (A-IV/2)
• Radar - Observer (A-II/1)
• Radar – A.R.P.A. (A-II/2)
• Radar – A.R.P.A. – Bridge Teamwork (A-II/2)
• Ship Security Officer (A-VI/5)
• Bridge Resource Management – Operational Level (Ops. Level)
• ECDIS Navigation– All Levels (All Levels)
• ECDIS – Type Specific Familiarization Course (Type Specific)
• Police clearance certificate
